Diving Officers Reports

Dive Marshal Sheets
All dives must have a Marshal/Risk Assessment form filled out in full, with relevant pre-dive information completed before the dive. Completed forms must then be returned to the Diving Officer ASAP. The form can be downloaded here.

Diving and Dive Holidays
Any member wishing to dive on a club trip, holiday or guest of another group, must inform the Diving Officer and get permission to dive. It is advised to get permission in writing if possible.

Steve Jakeway - March 2000

Note: Some potential members have expressed that they do not wish to inform the D.O. of every dive they do.

The club constitution clearly states that ALL dives must be reported to the D.O., see note 3a of the constitution.

Due to events with a club in 2003 it has become clear that without informing the D.O. and getting permission to dive, whether with a mate or another group or on holiday, the club, the committee and especially the Diving Officer may be held responsible for any accidents that may occur.

Therefore we must insist on this policy.
