The Nautical Archaeology Society is a non-government organisation formed to further interest in our underwater cultural heritage. Their scheme 'Adopt a Wreck' was launched to help divers get more enjoyment out of their sport and understand the impact we are having on our maritime heritage.

www.u47.org is a website dedicated to the history of the WWII German Type VIIB submarine U-47 and its legendary commander, Knight's Cross holder Korvettenkapitän Günther Prien, the man behind the sinking of the prize British battleship Royal Oak.

Two Thirds Blue Sub Aqua Club is based in Gloucester and provides SCUBA training that leads to qualifications recognised at any dive site on the globe. Regular trips are organised to the UK coast, diving on wrecks and reefs with many interested in underwater photography, marine life, conservation and underwater archaeology.
